The Susan G. Komen Des Moines Affiliate site’s main purpose is the promotion and organization of their yearly “Race For The Cure” breast cancer pledge race. The site (designed by Michael Welsch while working as Art Director at Spindustry Systems) handles all aspects of the race such as individual registration, group registration, group management, pledge management and race materials management. It also handles non-race aspects such as information about the foundation and general donations. The designs use of geometric shapes in conjunction with the Susan G. Komen pink and added blue and gray is meant to target the site towards both male and female supporters of the cause. |
