Sportcraft needed to re-vamp their style and navigation of their site. The design has a taste of the raw nature and grit of sports that started with the surf culture and is now commonly associated with the “give 110% to the game” sports mentality. Animation was used on the home page to give an overview of people interacting with Sportcraft products and gives a dynamic feel for who Sportcraft is. The animation is done in such a way that it does not interfere with the functionality of the site (from a search engine or usability perspective). There is no Flash intro for the user to skip, and there is a non-flash version of the site that users without Flash will be automatically directed.

The old site had links that many users would miss, so we (this site was designed by Michael Welsch while working as Art Director at Spindustry Systems) designed a navigation system that would take the user where they needed to be, no mater what they selected. This was accomplished with an organized web of cross-linking. If the user needed a replacement handle for their foosball table, they could select the foosball table and be directed to replacement parts for that table. Alternatively, they could select that they wanted a replacement part, then choose their foosball table. This logic carried through all applicable avenues from parts and products to game rules and assembly instructions.
